Charca de Suárez is an urban natural park located in Motril, only 7 km from Villa la Colina. It stands as the most significant wetland spot on the coast of Granada, serving as a refuge for a variety of bird species, both migratory and permanent residents of the area.
During a stroll in the park, you can have the opportunity to admire the diverse flora and fauna, including the rich wetland vegetation. The aquatic areas are especially intriguing as you can spot various bird species and other animals that thrive in this environment. For those passionate about ornithology, Charca de Suárez is a must-visit, and bringing along binoculars will greatly enhance the experience.
We visited the reserve at different times of the year, each time we noticed different things and it was always a nice, educational walk surrounded by nature.
